Her father was a farmer and her mother was a farm wife. She married Edwin Zimmerer on January 30, 1940, at Creighton, Nebraska. They had six children; Don, Dean, Darlene, Bob, Jack and Delores. Edwin and Helen farmed near Creighton, Nebraska all their life. She was a member of the St. Ludgers Catholic Church in Creighton and found strength in her faith. Helen died on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Alpine Village Nursing Home in Verdigre, Nebraska, at the age of 92. Survivors include her husband, Edwin of Creighton, her children; Don and wife Judy of Pierce, Nebraska, Dean and wife Ella of Creighton, Nebraska, Darlene Pearson and husband Rollie of Mitchell, South Dakota, Jack of Sioux City, Iowa, and Delores Teadtke and husband Steve of Niobrara, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Zimmerer of Creighton, Nebraska; 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sons; Richard and Robert Zimmerer, two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
