Pat has joined other family member in heaven: her sons, Glenn and Mitchell, her mom and dad, Mitchell and Jessie Birdwell; 2 sisters, Lillie and Rachael; and 1 brother Glenn. Pat has joined other family member in heaven: her sons, Glenn and Mitchell, her mom and dad, Mitchell and Jessie Birdwell; 2 sisters, Lillie and Rachael; and 1 brother Glenn. Throughout her 73 years she touched many lives. She had six children of her own, Lonnie, Jeffrey, Jessie, Glenn, Mitchell, and Jacque. In 1975 she married Bill Owens, her husband of 44 years. To this union she gained two more children, Krystal and Calvin. In 1985, Bill and Pat took in three more children, their niece and nephews, Richard, Andy, and Helen. But it didn’t end there. In 1990 their granddaughter Katie came to live with them followed by Tiffany. They later adopted Katie and Tiffany as their own children. Pat has worked in the fruit orchards; sewing factory; daycare; and homemaker. But her favorite position was when she was hired to work at the school district. For over 35 years she put her heart and soul into working with students. This career began in Republic, Washington and continued to various schools throughout Washington where they lived. When Bill and Pat relocated to Grandview, Washington, to be close to their parents, she worked at both Wapato and Prosser. She has been able to touch so many lives while working at the schools. We know that although Pat led a full life, her last two years were filled with a drastic health decline as she battled ALS and then Breast Cancer. Pat always had the mindset of “God is in control!” We know that she is in the arms of Jesus and her body is whole again and she is happy and at peace. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Helen Patricia Owens. Services will be: Saturday, November 16th 12:00 p.m. with a viewing at 11:00 a.m. Grandview Nazarene Church 500 N Elm St Grandview, Washington Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m.: Lower Valley Memorial Gardens 7800 Van Belle Rd Sunnyside, Washington In lieu of gifts, please donate to ALS or Breast Cancer Research!
