She was born April 12, 1922, in Wallingford, Conn., a daughter of the late Thomas Francis Janeck and Rosalie Ann Baziak. She grew up in Wallingford and attended schools there. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She moved to Georgetown in 1964 from the Earles community of Williamsburg County near Andrews. Taylor Helen Janeck Taylor, 78, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Grand Strand Healthcare in Myrtle Beach. She was born April 12, 1922, in Wallingford, Conn., a daughter of the late Thomas Francis Janeck and Rosalie Ann Baziak. She grew up in Wallingford and attended schools there. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She moved to Georgetown in 1964 from the Earles community of Williamsburg County near Andrews. She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. She was the widow of Leonard Ross Taylor. Survivors include two sons, Leonard T. Taylor and his wife, Sharon, and Robert J. Taylor, all of Columbia; two daughters, Theresa R. Wells and her husband, George, of Douglas, Ga., and Marie A. Dix and her husband, Larry, of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Genevieve Ann Wallacavage of Lansing, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Vigil service will be at 7 tonight at Mayer Funeral Home in Georgetown, followed by visitation until 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald J. Ryfinski will officiate. Burial will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
