Mr. Taylor was born Connecticut on June 8, 1951, a son of the late Leonard Ross Taylor and Helen Rosalind Janeck Taylor. He grew up in the Earl Community of Williamsburg County and lived in Georgetown for a time prior to moving to Columbia. While in Columbia, he attended Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. Mr. Taylor was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and an avid USC Gamecock fan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor is predeceased by; a brother, Leonard T. Taylor; a sister, Janet Richardson and a nephew, Steve Lambert. Surviving are: two sisters, Theresa "Terri" Taylor Wells (George) of Kingsland, GA. and Marie Taylor Dix (Larry) of Myrtle Beach; four nephews, Brian and Eric Dix, Daniel Richardson, and Jason Wells; and two nieces, Heather Isel and Jessica Seymour. Funeral Services will be eleven o’clock Friday, August 31, 2018, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home . The family will receive friends on Friday, August 31, 2018, from ten until eleven o’clock at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial to: Saint John Neumann Catholic Church Building Fund, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223 Arrangements are by the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
