She was born May 27, 1913, at Winterset to Elmo and Sadie Fields Silverthorn. She married Ernest F. Gee on July 1, 1931, at Winterset. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Michael E. and Chester C. of Ottumwa; a daughter, Shirley J. Mitchell of Ottumwa; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jean Ritter of Afton.
