She died Sun., April 19, 1992 at Oakland Heights Nursing Home at the age of 82. The Rev. Edward Foster officiated at the service. LaVonne Moeller was organist and Gloria Wedergren was soloist. Helen Hilbers was born July 4, 19909 at New York, N.Y., the daughter of Carsten and Bertha (Behrens) Tiedemann. She was a 1927 graduate of Hooper High School and had lived in the Uehling community since 1940. She married Harvey Hilbers Augs. 6, 1930, at St. Paul’s Church in Hooper. He died in 1977. She was a member of St. Paul’s Ladies Aid and the Uehling Sewing Circle. She had given piano lessons in her home until two years ago and had played piano for the silent movies in Hooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters in infancy and one grandson, Calvin Mallette. Survivors include on daughter, Shirley and Jerry Mallette of Uehing; three sons, Marvin and Kay Hilbers of Uehling, Norman and Virginia Hilbers of Omaha and Duane Hilbers of Omaha; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
