Description	:	Helena Wilhelmina Rauscher was born May 21, 1909, to Jakob and Magdalena (Vogel) Lang on a farm near Delmont, South Dakota. She married Harry Ramsdell in January of 1932. To this union born three children. Jerald Richard married Kristin Rae Roemels, three children. Ilene Marie married Roy G Hackman, two children. Donna Mae married Burt L Pratte, two children. Helen married Carl W Rauscher on August 28, 1948 and moved to Sutton. Read More	Helena Wilhelmina Rauscher was born May 21, 1909, to Jakob and Magdalena (Vogel) Lang on a farm near Delmont, South Dakota. She married Harry Ramsdell in January of 1932. To this union born three children. Jerald Richard married Kristin Rae Roemels, three children. Ilene Marie married Roy G Hackman, two children. Donna Mae married Burt L Pratte, two children. Helen married Carl W Rauscher on August 28, 1948 and moved to Sutton. Helen who reached the age of 100, was a hardworking Christian woman of many talents, including farm work, cook, seamstress, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading the bible and devotionals and traveling. She made numerous trips to Alaska where she went camping and visited her daughter, Donna and family and to California, to visit daughter, Ilene, son Jerald and families and to see all the sites. She made many lasting friends wherever she went and lived.. She enjoyed the Sutton community, church fellowship and many friends and relatives. She had a sense of humor, was young at heart and always looked forward to a new day. Helen was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and saw the good in everyone, Helen moved to San Jose, California in 2005 to live with her daughter, Ilene Hackman and family and especially loved being around all the grandchildren. Helen passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the age of 100, at Kaiser Permaneente Medical Center in Santa Teresa, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harry Ramsdell, Carl Rauscher; son Jerald R Ramsdell; brothers, Emil, Jack, Andrew, Arthur Lang; sisters Rose, Johanna Lang and Lena Verzani. Survivors include her sisters, Erna Pirner, Rapid City, SD, Lavelle Mellor Sebring, FL; daughters, Ilene M Hackman, San Jose, CA, Donna M Pratte, Wasilla Alaska; daughter-in-law, Kris Ramsdell, Castor Valley, CA; seven grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Sutton Cemetery with Rev Dan Rogers officiating, Clay County News (NE) June 10, 2009
