Her family moved to Leavenworth, KS, where she met Hugh O'Neil. Hugh had moved to Kansas from Illinois upon doctors advice due to ill health following rhe Civil War. His wife Bridget died and he had two young daughters, Mary and Agnes, when he married Hellen....
