Funeral services have been arranged fur Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in the home, in charge of the Rev. E. J. Keifer of the Methodist Episcopal church, assisted by the Rev. H. Ross Hume of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian church. The burial will be in Oak Spring cemetery. The body was removed from the McNary Funeral Home this afternoon to the family home, where friends will be received. It is the request of the family that flowers be omitted. The death of Mrs. McPeake, although not unexpected brings sadness over the community where she was so well known and so highly venerated. Unusually strong and healthy despite her years, she has recovered from several illnesses which usually prove fatal to one of advanced years, including a broken hip some years ago. A spartan mother, she, continued to maintain her home, together with her son Walter M., steadfastly disdaining domestic help and managing her own home until the day of her fatal illness. She was a devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church and regular in her attendance when her health permitted. The companionship of mother and son was something beyond the ordinary and her position of head of a large family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was such as to create much comment and amazement for her acute mind, managerial capacity and directing genius. Mrs. McPeake was born on July 25, 1843, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hayden and has spent her entire life in Canonsburg. She was married in 1860 to James Orr McPeake, who left shortly after their marriage to serve during the Civil war. To this union were born nine children, eight of whom survive, the one deceased being Mrs. Rebecca Herron, who died some years ago. The surviving children are Mrs. Kathryn Croker, of Corliss; Mrs. Mary E. Berry, Canonsburg; A. G. McPeake, Mt. Lebanon; Mrs. Irene Patterson, Canonsburg; E. M. McPeake, Canonsburg; George S.
