Read More	SIDNEY ARGUS-HERALD April 16, l931 Obituary: GOODIN Laura Henrietta Fichter, eldest daughter of A.C. and Elizabeth Fichter, was born in Morris county, New Jersey, April 5th, 1863 and passed away at her home in Sidney, April 11th, 1931, at the age of sixty-eight years and six days. When a small girl, about three years old, she moved with her parents to Jones county, Iowa, where they resided some four years, then coming to Fremont county, which has been her home ever since, except the two years, 1892 and 1893, spent in Madison county, Nebraska. On February 11, l887, she was united in marriage to George M. Goodin at Sidney. To this union were born four children. The eldest, Frankie, died in infancy and Albert passed away February 8, l925. The other two, Harry L., and Mrs. H.D. Barnes, both of Sidney, together with her husband are left to mourn her passing, as are seven grandchildren, four brothers, Charles, Ed, Joe and Harry Fichter, all of Randolph, and two sisters, Mrs. Will Cadwell of Arcadia, Nebraska, and Mrs. Arthur McMahill of Randolph. A sister, Mrs. Eva Allely, preceded her in death some twenty-five years ago. Mrs. Goodin was converted to God at Farmer City in the year of 1889 and united with the Methodist church of which she has been a faithful member ever since, being also a member of the Ladies Aid and Foreign Missionary societies. Mrs. Goodin was a great home lover and a devoted mother, always having the welfare of her family and home first in mind. She was also a wonderful neighbor and friend in need. Funeral services were held from the Sidney Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.W. Howard. Burial was in the home cemetery.
