Sister, Mary Whalen, daughter, Susan, son, Joseph and fiance Hui Lim, son, Jon and daughter-in-law Karen and grandsons, Max, Sean, Daren and Holden, survive her. Born in Fort Benton Montana, she and her husband Robert moved to Palo Alto shortly after the war so that Robert could attend Stanford to begin his graduate studies. In may 2000, she moved to Santa Barbara to be near her son, Jon and family. Among her many attributes, she will be remembered as a woman... A charming woman with immense energy and optimism who once her children were grown engaged in numerous activities including volunteer work, travel (particularly Italy), self improvement, and her first love, creative writing. Because of Kiki, humanity is kinder and perhaps gentler. All who had the pleasure to know and love her will miss her. A Graveside Service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton, MT on September 7, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. San Jose Mercury News (CA), August 1, 2002
