He was one of 10 children born to Albert and Mamie (McKenzie) Miller on Dec. 2, 1913. He was a graduate of Onalaska High School in 1932. He farmed his family's acres and became a logger. Read More	OBIT: The Chronicle - 16 Jun 2006 Henry Albert Miller, age 92, passed away at his residence near Onalaska on Saturday June, 10, 2006. He has been a lifetime resident of Lewis County. He was one of 10 children born to Albert and Mamie (McKenzie) Miller on Dec. 2, 1913. He was a graduate of Onalaska High School in 1932. He farmed his family's acres and became a logger. From 1941-1945 he served in the United States Army, resuming work in the woods after his honorable discharge. He was married to Joy King for 17 years and fathered a son, Lee. He married Ruth Evelyn Lyons on Jan. 10, 1970 and she survives him at the family home. A quiet and gentle family man, he excelled as a woodworker, making furniture. He enjoyed bee keeping, gardening and selling his produce at the farmers market. He worked in the lumber department of Blakely-Hout for over 13 years and was a 25 year member of the Alpha Grange. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Evelyn, at home; his son, Lee F. (Carol) Miller of Chehalis, WA; Stepchildren; Gary (Donna) Dahlin of Mossyrock, WA; David (Anita) King of Chehalis, WA; Warren (Ladeva) Dahlin of Chehalis, WA; Sherry (Tom) Chartray of Tumwater, WA; Connie Kyle of Chehalis, WA; sister, Sylvia Holmes of Sedro Woolley, WA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice or the charity of your choice. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, Centralia, WA. A private family interment service will take place at the Alpha Cemetery with a memorial gathering of family and friends held between the hours of 2-4 p.m.at the Alpha Grange hall on June 23.
