Read More	Mitchell County Press June 28, 1922 Obituary of Henry Thrams, Who Died Last Wednesday Henry Albert Thrams was born in Pomerania, Germany, April 22, 1852, and came to America with his parents when five years of age. Upon his arrival in this country he made his home at Watertown, Wis., where he grew to young manhood. In 1867 he came to Iowa with his brothers and settled on a farm in Rock township, Mitchell county,where he continued to reside for a period of twenty years. On March 4, 1880, Mr. Thrams was united in marriage with Minnie A. Dexheimer, of Madison, Wis. To them six children were born, only three of whom survive. The living children are: Mrs. John Schultheis, of Little Cedar, Iowa, Mrs. George Nelson, of Brownville, Iowa, and Mr. George W. Thrams, of Philadelphia. At the conclusion of their residence on the farm Mr. and Mrs. Thrams moved to Osage where they have since made their home. Mr. Thrams united with the Methodist Episcopal church when 20 years of age and for fifty years has been a faithful and devoted member. He was invariably present at the services and as an official of the church he was always to be relied upon to do his work expected of him. He was very decided in his religious convictions, Sabbath observance was a matter of conscience with him and only the most extreme necessity could persuade him to do on that day that which might be postponed. Family worship was also a matter of necessity to him. The day was always opened with scripture reading and prayer and though at times he was very busy and pressed for time he always found time for devotions. These things developed a strong faith in his own life and made him a pillar of strength in religious things to others. Mr. Thrams passed away suddenly on the afternoon of June 21, 1922, after a serious injury which occurred on the same day, leaving to mourn his death besides his faithful wife and three children, two brothers in Mason City, one in Orient, S.D., and one sister, Mrs. M. Weber, of Lake Mills Wis., together with a large number of friends.
