Foust was born at German town, Indiana, December 5, 1847 and died at Bowsher Station near Des Moines, May 12, 1933 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 7 days. He lived in Indiana until early manhood, coming to Iowa with his parents at the age of twenty, with the exception of one year he has made his home in Iowa since coming here. Foust was born at German town, Indiana, December 5, 1847 and died at Bowsher Station near Des Moines, May 12, 1933 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 7 days. He lived in Indiana until early manhood, coming to Iowa with his parents at the age of twenty, with the exception of one year he has made his home in Iowa since coming here. Most all of his life has been spent in Polk County, one year being spent in Guthrie County. He was united in marriage on March 9, 1875 to Millie Oglevie, to this union were born two children, Mrs. Edna Edwards who was at home at the time of her fathers death and. Charley who preceded his father in death many years ago. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and daughter Mrs. Edna Edwards, two sisters, Mrs. Stouten of Des Moines and Mrs. Mingo of New York City, also neices and nephews and hosts of friends and neighbors. All who knew him remembered him as being always jovial and kind, and willing to do for one less fortunate. Mr. Foust had been ill for many years but his last sickness only lasted a few hours. Al- though he was always patient in suf- fering yet he welcomed the reaching out of the hand of death. Funeral services were conducted from the Congregational church in Berwick Sunday afternoon with in- terment in the Altoona cemetery.
