Description	:	Henry Bubach was born on November 7, 1867, at Bevenson, in the Province of Hannover, Germany, a son of John and Kathrine Bubach. The family lived in the nearby village of Emmensdorf. In July, 1882 the family, consisting of himself, his parents, his younger brother Ferdinand, and his two sisters, Mary, who later became Mrs. Henry Dibbern, and Anna, who later became Mrs. Wm. Boelter, left Germany for the U. S., coming to Fargo. His father and younger brother found work with farmers near Davenport in Cass County, so the family went there. The following year his parents along... Read More	Henry Bubach was born on November 7, 1867, at Bevenson, in the Province of Hannover, Germany, a son of John and Kathrine Bubach. The family lived in the nearby village of Emmensdorf. In July, 1882 the family, consisting of himself, his parents, his younger brother Ferdinand, and his two sisters, Mary, who later became Mrs. Henry Dibbern, and Anna, who later became Mrs. Wm. Boelter, left Germany for the U. S., coming to Fargo. His father and younger brother found work with farmers near Davenport in Cass County, so the family went there. The following year his parents along with a number of other families from around Davenport, took out a homestead in LaMoure County near Griswold. The deceased remained at Davenport, and worked there until 1886, when the family came to LaMoure County to stay. In 1892 the deceased bought homestead rights on the land where his son George now lives. On November 18 of that year he married Caroline Busche at Griswold. Thirteen children were born to that union, of whom three died in childhood. One son, Herbert, died in 1948. The family lived on that farm for 50 years, until 1943, when the deceased and his wife moved to Marion. In 1948 they moved to Litchville. Mrs. Bubach died October 3, 1952. In 1952 the deceased suffered two strokes from which he never completely recovered. He was cared for by his two daughters at Litchville until last May 28 when he was taken to Sheyenne Memorial Hospital in Valley City. There he was released last Tuesday, January 14 at about 6:20 p.m. He reached the age of 90 years, 2 months, and 7 days. He was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and held many offices in the congregation during the years. He also held various offices in Gladstone Township, being township clerk for 20 years. He leaves to mourn his departure his four sons and five daughters: Ida, Mrs. Carl Lebahn of Litchville; Otto of Madison, South Dakota; Helen, Mrs. Remmer Menninga of Sterling, Nebraska; Bertha of Litchville; Ernest of Bismarck; Johanna, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Nome; George of Litchville; and Clarence of Marion.
