Description	:	Henry C. McCorrison, 95, of Thorndike and St. Petersburg, Fla., died early Tuesday, Jan 30, 1979, at the home of his son, Stanley, in Unity. He was born in Montville July 23, 1883, son of Charles and Abbie (Bailey) McCorrison. He was prominent as an automobile dealer in Thorndike since 1913, holding franchises for several makes of automobiles including Ford, Dodge and Packard. Read More	Henry C. McCorrison, 95, of Thorndike and St. Petersburg, Fla., died early Tuesday, Jan 30, 1979, at the home of his son, Stanley, in Unity. He was born in Montville July 23, 1883, son of Charles and Abbie (Bailey) McCorrison. He was prominent as an automobile dealer in Thorndike since 1913, holding franchises for several makes of automobiles including Ford, Dodge and Packard. In 1935, he and his son, Stanley opened a dealership for Pontiac cars and GMC trucks in Thorndike. The dealership was purchased by his son in 1946, when McCorrison retired and moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. McCorrison was educated in Halldale Grammar School and graduated from Freedom Academy in 1903. He taught school in Montville for two years and then operated a meat business for several years there. He also had farmed in Montville and operated a store in Brunswick. He married Elizabeth Frye of Montville Oct. 30 1907. She died in 1974. He was a member of the Halldale Baptist Church, the Dirigo Grange No. 98 of Freedom and had been a member of Unity Lodge of Odd Fellows, the Unity Rebekah and Encampment. He was a 50-year member of the Unity Lodge of Masons of Thorndike, AF and AM. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. He is survived by one son, Stanley McCorrison of Unity; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Winnifred) Cooper of South China; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Contributor: Pamela Tash (48009403)
