Description	:	UNITY - Stanley Frye McCorrison Sr., 82, of Unity, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at a Waterville hospital. He was born in Montville, Nov. 11, 1917, the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Frye) McCorrison. He attended Brunswick High School and graduated from Freedom Academy. He was born in Montville, Nov. 11, 1917, the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Frye) McCorrison. He attended Brunswick High School and graduated from Freedom Academy. He was also a graduate of Gray Business School and Brunswick Business School. On June 22, 1940, he married Geneva Lillian Blanchard from Knox. During World War II, Stanley was employed by the South Portland Shipyard, and owned and operated a poultry and hatchery farm in Montville. Stanley and his father, Henry McCorrison started a Pontiac, GMC and Parkard Automobile Dealership in Thorndike. He retired in 1975, and later received his real estate license and sold real estate part time. He was a member and a deacon of the Thorndike Congregational Church for many years, was a Boy Scout leader and a member of the Harvest Moon Grange. He was a member and past Master of the Unity Masonic Lodge of Thorndike; and a member of the Palestine Commandry of Belfast. He was also a member and past Patron of the Eastern Star. Stanley and his wife, Geneva spent their winters in St. Petersburg and Gulfport, Fla. He also collected antique cars. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geneva Blanchard McCorrison of Unity; three sons, Melvin Blanchard McCorrison of Greene, David Lee McCorrison of Apex, N.C. and Stanley Frye McCorrison Jr. of Knox; his sister, Winnifred McCorrison Hall of Zephyrhills, Fla.; five grandchildren, Lisa, Sean, Sharon, Morgan and Marc; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Kyle and Kayla; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, corner of Main and Depot St., Unity. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at the Thorndike Congregational Church in Thorndike. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Freedom.
