Read More	LAST RITES FOR HENRY JURGENSON Had Been Resident of This Vicinity Since His Early Days of Childhood Mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Henry Jurgenson, a well known farmer residing about eleven miles northwest of town, on Wednesday afternoon of last week, July 7, 1937. When he did not return to the house after the supper hour, one of his daughters went to the field where he had been working and found his lifeless body slumped forward off the seat of his cultivator. It is believed he had been suddenly stricken at about 5 o’clock that afternoon. He had been in poor health the past three years from kidney trouble and complications. Henry Christ Jurgenson was born Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on March 14, 1879. In 1881 he came to the United States with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Jurgenson, locating in Plymouth County, Iowa. On June 19, 1905, he was united in holy wedlock with Miss Mary Von Hagel, and this union was blessed with seven children-five sons and two daughters. After working in a blacksmith shops in Akron, Mr. Jurgenson moved onto a farm east of town, where he engaged in tilling the soil for twenty-five years, and then moved onto a farm in Union County, S.D., northwest of town Akron, which he purchased and this remained his home up to the time of his death. He was an upright citizen and held the respect of all who knew him His devoted wife preceded him in death several years ago. He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Andrew and Phyllis, at home; Clifford, of Akron; Alvin, of Heron Lake Minn., and Mrs. Alvin Betcke, of Spink, S.D.; three grandchildren, and three brothers and two sisters, Charles and William, of Akron; Andrew, of Hudson, S.D.; Mrs. Russell Clark and Mrs. Max Fredrickson, of Akron. There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends at the funeral services last Friday afternoon in Trinity Lutheran Church, the last rites being conducted by Rev. Fred A. Meske.
