Blankenship Henry, as he was familiarly known, first took sick about two weeks ago while working on the mill pond of the L. D. Lumber Co., first with a severe cold, followed by tonsillitis, which later developed erysipelas. He was brought to the Leavenworth Hospital and everything that medical skill could do was done without avail. Huff conducted services in the Methodist church. His father, W. F. Blankenship, is the oldest resident on Lake Wenatchee, having moved there in 1891. Henry C. Blankenship was 27 years old, and a twin brother Harry C. He is survived by his father and mother, six brothers and two sisters. this was the first death that has occurred in this pioneer family, which removed to Washington in 1887, all members of which are universally esteemed as among the best citizens in the county.
