Description	:	Note: On March 29, 2017, I received an edit request from findagrave member Laurie Buck, #47362350, asking that I add the middle name of Clay to Henry's memorial. Neither Henry's death record, found in familysearch.org, nor his obituary, which I have transcribed below, gives a middle name. Some of the census records show his middle initial of C, as does his gravestone. Some of the family trees in ancestry.com give his middle name as Clay, and Laurie gave her source as, "a person I met on Ancestory.." On April 6, I decided to accept this edit... Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," May 17, 1916: Henry Dimmitt, aged 65, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Catherine Duncan , 216 East Woodland, this morning at 2:30. Mr. Dimmitt was born in Wapello County in 1850 and has lived in this vicinity all his life. He was a well known figure in this community, having followed the plumber's trade for years. He was also a member of good standing in the First Presbyterian church. Rev. C. Dutton Jacobs of the First Presbyterian will conduct the funeral services from the church Friday, but as yet the exact hour has not been decided upon. Interment will be made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
