Read More	The Sutton News (Sutton, NE) Henry Helzer, son of Conrad Helzer and Dorothy Marie nee Hardt, was born in Norka, Russia, on October 7, 1873. It pleased the Creator to call him to his eternal reward last Wednesday evening, July 30, at about 11:30 p.m. He attained the age of 73 years, nine months and 23 days. He was baptized in the Christian faith in his infancy while still in Russia. In the year 1886, in the month of December he came to America and came to Harvard, Nebr. As a young man he was confirmed by Rev. Arnold. He was united in marriage to Molle (sic) Roberts on September 24, 1899, who preceded him in death October 25, 1940. In July, 1941, he was again united in marriage to Augusta Alberding. The last six years Mr. Helzer has lived at Clay Center, where he enjoyed comparatively good health until he was removed from our midst last Wednesday evening. He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife and his 13 children: John, Martha Bruning, Mrs. E.E. Sparks, Mrs. John Arp, Mrs. Herman Krug, Mrs. Harvey Alberding, Mrs. Carl Borchert, Mrs. John Haberman, Mrs. Leonard Schneller, Mae Helzer, Clyde Helzer, Mrs. Ben Huber, Mrs. Jack Culver, 29 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Elizabeth Block of Le Due, Canada; Mrs. Christina Miller of Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Louie Krause of Hays, Kansas; Mrs. Martha Pretzer of Hyde, Canada, and Conrad Helzer of Aurora, Nebr. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Emmanuel Reformed church (sic) following brief services at the Grosshans-Kohler mortuary. Rev. Calvin Stuebbe was in charge. Miss Joan Kohler, accompanied by Miss Marianne Wenzlaff, sang two hymns. Pall bearers included Henry Haberman, Adam Kern, John Bott, John Pope, George Schmer and John Brening. Burial was in the Sutton cemetery (sic).
