David purchased lot 11, on which the northern part of the cemetery is located, in 1832. He had earlier resided on the Southwest quarter of section 6, Range 4, Township 9, which he had bought from his father in 1815, and sold to Abraham Gerber when he moved here. They had a child which died in 1823 and is presumably buried in the Verna Miller Farm Cemetery (L-3), so there is a possibility that the parents are resting there also. If David and Maria are buried here (in the Alvin Wengerd and Orie Miller Farm Cemetery (L-5)) as is supposed, they are most likely lie west of graves 14 and 15.
