Description	:	Obituary Notice--Henry Dissmeyer Henry Dissmeyer 73, passed away August 27, 1967, at the Tecumseh hospital after an illness of several years. He was born June 22, 1894 to Herman and Mary Dissmeyer at Adams and grew to manhood in this vicinity. He farmed all of his life in the Adams and Cortland vicinity until retiring and coming to Adams. He was a member of the Adams Lutheran Church at the time of his death. He was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Firth, April 1909 at the age of 14 years. He was born June 22, 1894 to Herman and Mary Dissmeyer at Adams and grew to manhood in this vicinity. He farmed all of his life in the Adams and Cortland vicinity until retiring and coming to Adams. He was a member of the Adams Lutheran Church at the time of his death. He was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Firth, April 1909 at the age of 14 years. February 21, 1916, he was united in marriage to Margaret Hestermann. To this union two children were born. A son, Karl and a daughter Clara, Mrs. William Parde, resides on a farm near Adams. Mrs. Margaret Dissmeyer passed away in 1929. Mr. Dissmeyer was united in marriage to April 19, 1930 to Lena Weber, who survives him. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Herman Hestermann of Beatrice and Mrs. Grace Rohe of Lincoln; one brother , Louis Dissmeyer of Beatrice, daughter, Mrs. Wm. Parde of Adams, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His parents, one son, two sisters and one grandchild and one great grandchild preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at the Adams American Lutheran Church August 30 with Rev. Konrad Koosmann officiating. Wayne VanEngen was soloist and Mrs. Roger Gronewold was organist. Pallbearers were; Raymond Mahler, Ray Kaiser, Carl Michel, Roy Van Engen, and Orville Weber. Interment was in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery at Clatonia.
