Description	:	Obituary: May 5, 1898; Albion Noble County Democrat Henry Eby(sic), one of the old and respected residents of Elkhart township, after an illness of many months died at his home in that township, Saturday, April 30, 1898. He was born in Chippewa township, Wayne county, Ohio, and at the time of his demise was aged seventy-six years, four months and five days. He came from Ohio to Elkhart township, April 1, 1857, where he has since resided. He was a member of the German Baptist church for over thirty years. Read More	Obituary: May 5, 1898; Albion Noble County Democrat Henry Eby(sic), one of the old and respected residents of Elkhart township, after an illness of many months died at his home in that township, Saturday, April 30, 1898. He was born in Chippewa township, Wayne county, Ohio, and at the time of his demise was aged seventy-six years, four months and five days. He came from Ohio to Elkhart township, April 1, 1857, where he has since resided. He was a member of the German Baptist church for over thirty years. The deceased was married to Catherine Brown, August 12, 1847, and to this union four children were born: Thomas R., James W., Eliza J. and Rachael E., all of whom are living. Mrs. Eby died September 3, 1867, and he was united in marriage to Mrs. Christena Brumbaugh, July 12, 1868, which union was blessed by the birth of two daughters, Lousea Ann and Minnie May. The former died April 8, 1894. His second wife died March 27, 1875, and he was married to Amelia Zimmer, October 8, 1875, who remains to mourn his demise. He also leaves to mourn him, twenty-four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He has gone from their presence, never to return for them to behold him with the natural eye, but they may live in hopes of seeing him in the spirit land. The funeral obsequies were held at the residence of his step-son, Jacob Brumbaugh, near his late residence, Tuesday at 10 o'clock a.m., and the remains were interred in the Wright cemetery. He was a brother of Mrs. E. F. Coats of this city. We extend condolence to the bereaved relatives and friends.
