Description	:	Henry "Henrici" Ediger was the son of Heinrich Ediger and Maria Tihart (Tiahrt) Ediger, formerly of Prussia. He was born in Poland (Prussia) in 1865. His widowed mother Maria married her sister or half-sister's husband John Clever in Michigan after 1886. John's first wife Anna Tihart Clever died about 1886 in Michigan. It is believed that Henry's step-father, John Clever, was also his uncle because Henry's mother, Marie Tihart Ediger Clever (John's second wife), was a sister or half-sister to Anna Tihart (Tiahrt) Clever (John's first wife). He was born in Poland (Prussia) in 1865. His widowed mother Maria married her sister or half-sister's husband John Clever in Michigan after 1886. John's first wife Anna Tihart Clever died about 1886 in Michigan. It is believed that Henry's step-father, John Clever, was also his uncle because Henry's mother, Marie Tihart Ediger Clever (John's second wife), was a sister or half-sister to Anna Tihart (Tiahrt) Clever (John's first wife). Henry may be one and the same with Henry (Henrici) Clever, who was listed on the manifest of the "City of Richmond" and on the 1880 census as a son of John and Anna Clever's. Family information indicates that there were only six children in the Clever family and not seven children; however many related families lived together in this way. Henry was always called a half-brother, when in fact he was a step-brother and cousin. Henry left Michigan for South Dakota where many Tiahrt relatives had moved. Henry married Marie (Mary) Tiahrt, a first cousin, on 25 Nov 1886, and they had four children: John, Frank, Robert, and Bertha Ediger. John (b 22 Oct 1887, d 9 Dec 1888) and Bertha (b 18 Apr 1900, d 20 Apr 1900) preceded their parents in death at a young age. Henry died in 1927 at age 62, and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in South Dakota.
