Interment was in the Eureka City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Homes. Delker died early Sunday morning, October 28, at his home. Casketbeaers, grandchildren of Delker, were Don and Jon Voorhees, David and Paul Bauer and Tom and Steven Schuler. Delker was born January 24, 1896, in Campbell County southeast of Eureka, in what was at that time called Sutley Community. He was the son of Andreas Delker and Maria Blum. He spent his early years on the family farm, marrying Bertha Junker in 1922 in the Sutley Community Evangelical Church. The couple lived on the family farm southwest of Eureka until 1951 when they moved to Mobridge. The past 15 years he has been employed by the City of Mobridge. He was a former member of the Congregational Church of the Sutley Community and at the time of his death was a member of the United Congregational Church of Mobridge. He is survived by his wife, Bertha of Mobridge; two sons, Ervin of Portland, Oregon, and Robert of Bynum, Alabama; four daughters, Mrs. Calvin Schuler of New Boston, Texas, Mrs. Wilma Voorhees of Ellendale, North Dakota, Mrs. Eugene Kautz of Devils Lake, North Dakota, and Mrs. Reuben Bauer of Artas; 17 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Ida Wolff of Aberdeen, Mrs. Harmon Eberltoft of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. otto Deuschle of Mojave, California. He was preceded in death by seven sisters, his parents, one brother, two grandchildren, and a son in infancy.
