Description	:	Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home, northeast of Hardy and the Christian church (sic) here, for Henry Depke, who passed away at the home of his son, Friday. The services were conducted by Rev. M.J. Boyer. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic). OBITUARY Henry Ernest Depke was born in Mitze, Germany, May 29, 1860 and died at the home of his son, John, on March 15, 1935, aged 74 years, 9 months and 25 days. OBITUARY Henry Ernest Depke was born in Mitze, Germany, May 29, 1860 and died at the home of his son, John, on March 15, 1935, aged 74 years, 9 months and 25 days. He came to Atchison county (sic), in 1875, and located to Corning, Mo., where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1883 to Rinda Flessner, and located on a farm near Fairfax, Mo. To this union were born three children: John Depke of Hardy; Mrs. Dora Henstorf of Munden, Kans.; and Mrs. Anna Crouse of Chester. Also four grandchildren, Melvin and Harold Crouse, Vincent Henstorf, and Maxine Depke, and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn his departure. His wife, Rinda, passed away in 1900. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church, and later brought up his family in the Presbyterian church. In 1909 he moved with his son to Chester, and later to Hardy, where he spent the remaining days of his life. Thus passed one respected and loved in all walks of life' (sic) who has left his impression on the community, that has been one of charity, faithfulness to duty, strict and never failing kindness of heart.
