Baker, 72, life long resident of Cincinnati and vicinity, died at his home here Sunday evening at 5:45 o'clock. He had been confined to his bed for the past five weeks and had been in failing health for the past two years, due to rheumatism. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Centerville Daily Iowegian and Citizen, Centerville, Iowa, Monday, September 19, 1938, page 8 Henry Grant Baker Henry Grant Baker, son of Henry Hammond and Mary Ann Baker, was born in Cincinnati, Ia., Dec. 6, 1865, and departed this life at him home in Cincinnati, Sept. 18, 1938, at the age of 72 years, nine months and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Emma Jane Crowder, Dec. 16, 1903 and to this union was born one daughter, Mary, who survives. Most of his life he spent on a farm near Cincinnati where he engaged in livestock. About eight years ago he left the farm and moved to town where he spent the remainder of his life. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, one daughter, two sisters, one granddaughter and also a host of relatives and friends.
