Description	:	Henry Hahn was born in 1839 in Germany and emigrated [sic] to this country with his parents when he was but 8 years old. They settled in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. His mother died a year after they left the old home and his father passed away two years later. Mr. Hahn lived in Wisconsin about twelve years, then went to California where he remained three years. His mother died a year after they left the old home and his father passed away two years later. Mr. Hahn lived in Wisconsin about twelve years, then went to California where he remained three years. He then returned to Wisconsin and was married to Miss Caroline Dreyer. Shortly after a trip to Montana was undergone. In 1884 the family came to Kansas, settling in the north part of Clay County, where he lived for several years. Later a farm was purchased southwest of Clay Center, and it was there that he resided at the time of his death which occurred August 9th. A wife and seven sons survive him. All the boys, accepting [sic] Nelson who is in Washington, have grown to hardy manhood and are now numbered among Clay County's prosperous farmers. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church here in town last Thursday at 11 o'clock, after which the remains were interred in Greenwood Cemetery.
