Description	:	Henry "Hank" Pochant, 73, Coleharbor, died May 22, 2003, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Riverdale, with the Rev. John Nilsen officiating. Burial will be in Coleharbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Hank was born March 19, 1930, in Underwood, the son of Harry Sr. and Ester (Kalk) Pochant. He grew up helping on the family farm prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army and serving in the Korean War. He married Ruth Welk on Oct. 30, 1954. They made their home in the Coleharbor area. He farmed through the years and worked with the McLean-Mercer Regional Library for 10 years. Hank then worked with the North Dakota Game and Fish Dept. in Riverdale as a wildlife technician supervisor from 1972 to 1992, when he retired. He enjoyed his retirement years living on the family farm, helping as needed. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, visiting with friends and relatives, and especially his grandchildren. Hank is survived by his wife, Ruth; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Mary Pochant, Rapid City, S.D., Clark and Jayne Pochant, Washburn, and Jeff and Sallie Pochant, Coleharbor; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jr. (Harry) and Virginia Pochant, Dukes (DuWayne) and Sallie Pochant, all of Coleharbor, Skinny (Robert) Pochant and friend Pat Liska, Pick City, and Alden Pochant and friend Florence Brunner, Bismarck; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene and Ron Molzan, Minot, and Lois and Clarence Hummel, Clarkston, Wash.
