Description	:	Henry was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Henry and Frances (Citta) Hert. He grew up in Ralston before moving to Gretna. Henry attended Holy Cross Catholic grade school and graduated from Valley High School in 1956 (Go Terriers). As a young boy, Henry was active in the family farm, played football and began to develop his lifelong ornery streak. Henry married Virginia Hughes on June 26, 1959 in Omaha and they were blessed with seven children: Cindy, Cheryl, Connie, Henry, Pamela, Walter and David. As a young boy, Henry was active in the family farm, played football and began to develop his lifelong ornery streak. Henry married Virginia Hughes on June 26, 1959 in Omaha and they were blessed with seven children: Cindy, Cheryl, Connie, Henry, Pamela, Walter and David. Henry and Virginia raised their family in Iowa, Holdrege, Gretna and Waterloo. Henry had another child Linda. Henry married Nancy Murnane on September 5, 1992 at their home in Waterloo, Nebraska. Henry worked at the Swift Packing House, farmed in Iowa and Holdrege, Nebraska, operated Hank’s Bar in Waterloo and worked construction for Hawkins Construction in Omaha. He enjoyed the horse races, rebuilding cars, family gatherings, gardening, teasing his grandkids, throw line fishing, crawdad seining and spending time at the Sportsman’s Bar. Henry coached his granddaughter’s softball teams, enjoyed shopping at Walmart and was a great story teller. He was funny, kind and thoughtful with a mischievous streak. Henry was an avid Husker fan, had a sweet tooth and enjoyed dinner out at Farmer Brown’s.
