Henry Heyen was born in Langworthy on June 27,1911. He was the son of John Heyen and his wife, Matilda Scheer Heyen, and had received his early education in the Langworthy and Monticello schools. He then received a B.S. degree in Commerce and later a Masters Degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Since 1943, Mr. Heyen was affiliated with advertising firms in the Chicago, 111., area, his position being that of a copy writer for magazine, newspaper and radio advertising. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and served in the Armed Forces during World War II. He is survived by a sister, Mary Heyen Bennett, Santa Monica, Calif., a brother, Dr. H. C. Heyen; El Paso, Texas, and two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Heyen Reed, Reserve, New Mexico and Mrs. Phyllis Heyen Husman, Langworthy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two nephews.
