Description	:	Henry Lamberton Is Buried Monday Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Community Log Church in memory of Henry Horton Lamberton, 85 year old Brewster resident who died Friday morning at the Brewster Hospital following a prolonged illness. Pastors Fred Cole of Moses Lake and C C Rouse, local Seventh-day Adventist minister conducted the memorial service. Pastor Rouse reading the obituary and both expressing the Biblical comfort of the resurrection of the faithful which will accompany the return of Jesus. A trio composed of Mrs. Herb Freeman, Donna Rae Baker and Dr. Robert Baker sang "Be Thou Nearer" and "When They Ring Those Golden Bells". They were accompanied by Mrs. Baker. Pall bearers included eight of Mr. Lambertson's grandsons: Jerry, John and Marlow Dawes, Lowell, Darrell, Henry and Ronnie Lamberton, and Gary Phelps. Honorary Pallbearers were also grandson: Lyle Krueger, Dee Lamberton Jr., Mike and Danny Lamberton. Burial was in the Brewster Cemetery where Pastor Cole officiated in a brief graveside service. Mr. Lamberton was born December 14, 1876 in Niles, Michigan and later moved to South Dakota where he met and married Katie Suttman in 1906. Mr. and Mrs. Lamberton were both diligent Bible students and through their own study accepted the Seventh-day Sabbath before moving West in 192. At that time they settled near Spokane where they lived for three years before moving to Brewster where various members have branched out from the original homestead to share an active part in community affairs for almost four decades. The family first met a Seventh-day Adventist pastor in 1927 and both Mr. and Mrs. Lamberton, along with their older children, were baptized into that faith, forming the nucleus for the first Adventist church in this town. At the time of his death, "Grandpa" Lamberton, as he was affectionately known by most of the town, was the second oldest member of the present church. Mr. Lamberton is survived by his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Lee (Ann) Dawes, Pateros; Mrs. Bob (Henrietta) Thomas, Ardenvoir; Mrs. Harold (Iva Mae) Huey and Mrs. Marion (Kay) Hanson, Brewster; Mrs. C. L. (Helen) Reeve, Bridgeport; and Mrs. Erment (Chloetta) Krueger of Wapato; eight sons, Ray and Dr. Harold, Brewster; John, Milo, Oregon; Forrest, Milton-Freewater, Oregon; Dr. Clark, Bangkok, Thailand, Ned, College PLace, Washington; Dee, Seattle; and Dr. Lyndle, Corvallis, Oregon. There are 52 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Other out-of-town relatives in attendance included his aunt, Mrs. Kate Lamberton of Seattle; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kifer, Ardenvoir; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Johnson, Winthrop; Mr. and Mrs. David Wickward adn family, Prosser; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dawes and family, Salem; and Misses Jani and Leona Thomas from College Place. Friends attending from other areas included Mr. and Mrs. Herb Spencer and Chauncey, Milton-Freewater, Oregon; Mrs. Lorraine Schempp of Quincy; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hansen, Omak; J L Grove, Mrs. Evelyn Magnusson, Mrs. Roberta Schoepflin, all of Endicott; Mrs. G. Frances Hilton, Mrs. Carl Knutson, Mrs. V. E. Kelstrom, Mrs. Elmer Brody and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Olson, all of Wenatchee.
