Read More	Cemetery records show that Henry is buried in the same lot as Sada Heery. There is not a headstone for Henry. DAVIS – At his home in Geneva, Neb., at 2:50 p. m. Thursday, April 9, 1908, Henry J. Davis, aged 72 years, 6 months and 27 days. Mr. Davis was born in New York state. He was married in that state to Miss Rhoda A. Beebe, March 7, 1858. In 1870 they removed to Minnesota and two years later removed to Fillmore county, Nebraska, taking a homestead in Hamilton township. They were thus numbered among the county's pioneers. In 1898 they removed to Stanton township and made their home there until removing to Geneva. They had resided in the county continuously since 1892 except for two years spent in Colorado. Mr. Davis is survived by his aged wife and four sons and two daughters: Charles, Eugene and Owen Davis and Mrs. Sadie Heery of this county, Mrs. Anna Federsteil of Thayer county, Nebraska, and John Davis of Denver. Mrs. Heery has been making her home with her parents. Mr. Davis had been in failing health for the past two years. The funeral took place from the family residence at 3:30 p. m. Friday and was conducted by Rev. Dr. C. M. Shepherd, assisted by the Methodist choir. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Beautiful floral tributes from the Royal Neighbors, the officers of the girls industrial, school and other friends, covered the casket.
