Description	:	Henry James "Jim" Reid, 85, of 340 Laurell Drive, passed away Tuesday evening, April 15, 2008, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, at the columbarium at Church of the Epiphany, 538 Henry Street, where he was a member. Mr. Reid was a retiree of Lockheed- Martin in Orlando, Fla., with 32 years of service. Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Shirley Daugherty Reid of the home; two sisters, Frances Reid and Ruth Sherwood, both of Eden; and three very special friends and step-children who lovingly looked upon him as a father, Melanie Sweezy of Cobb Island, Md., Michael Goldman of Winter Park, Fla., and Melinda Pittman of Atlanta, Ga.
