MARYS - Henry Koehn, 89, widely known owner of a landing on the south shore of Lake St. Marys, died yesterday in Gibbons Hospital, Celina, where he had been a patient for several weeks. Mr. Koehn was known too as a square dance fiddler and had played for dances at his own landing and at many of the barn dances in this area. MARYS - Henry Koehn, 89, widely known owner of a landing on the south shore of Lake St. Marys, died yesterday in Gibbons Hospital, Celina, where he had been a patient for several weeks. Mr. Koehn was known too as a square dance fiddler and had played for dances at his own landing and at many of the barn dances in this area. Until he became ill about 3 1/2 years ago, he was active at Koehn's Landing. As an "old timer" at the lake, he could tell many stories concerning the colorful past of Lake St. Marys and of the good fishing which preceded the drilling of oil wells in the lake along about the turn of the century. He is survived by 10 children: Mrs. Emil Dohse, Ed Koehn, Gertrude Koehn, Mrs. Robert Kiefer, Mrs. Otis Fannon, Mrs. Earl Raymond, Zura Koehn and Charles Koehn, all of the St. Marys area; Mrs. Stanley Fishpaw, Wabash, and Mrs. Harold Wilhaus, Dayton; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Smith, St. Marys. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Yoder & Long Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul J. Strouse officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
