Description	:	Henry Kohle was born in Hertzfeld, Germany, July 9, 1842 and passed away at his home in Lawrence, March 27, 1930, aged 87 years, 8 months, 19 days. The deceased had been confined to the house for the past five years due to feebleness incident to old age but had been seriously ill only a few days and his death was not exected (sic) so soon. Mr. Kohle emigrated to American in 1868 and after living a short time at St. Charles, Mo., he settled at Ft. Madison, Iowa. He was married at Ft. Madison April 25,... Read More	Henry Kohle was born in Hertzfeld, Germany, July 9, 1842 and passed away at his home in Lawrence, March 27, 1930, aged 87 years, 8 months, 19 days. The deceased had been confined to the house for the past five years due to feebleness incident to old age but had been seriously ill only a few days and his death was not exected (sic) so soon. Mr. Kohle emigrated to American in 1868 and after living a short time at St. Charles, Mo., he settled at Ft. Madison, Iowa. He was married at Ft. Madison April 25, 1874, to Miss Anna Schleuter who had come to America on the same ship ad (sic) at the same time as the deceased. The family moved to Nebraska in 1880 making their home on the farm in St. Stephens parish until their retirement to Lawrence a few years ago. The wife preceded him in death on February 14th last, as did seven of the children born to the deceased couple. Surviving children are the son John and daughters Miss Anna and Mrs. Steve Pohlmeier, all of Lawrence. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Sacred Heart church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chas. A. Becker.
