Description	:	Mrs. Martin Brockman The sudden death of Mrs Martin Brockman, at 6 a.m. Tuesday last, at her home southeast of Lawrence, was a great shock to the community, as few knew of her critical illness. Her death is said to have resulted from a severe intestinal infection probably due to an attack of flu with complications following childbirth. An infant son, eight days old is left with the father. Lawrence Locomotive, Friday, February 9, 1923; Front Page Obituary Mary Katherine Kohle was born October 15, 1883, died Feb 6, 1923. Deceased was born and reared on the old Kohle farm about four miles southeast of Lawrence. She was married to surviving husband, Martin Brockman, at St. Stephens, Sept. 10, 1907, and they continuously lived in the old home neighborhood until her untimely death. Four children were born three of whom preceded their mother in death. An infant son, with the husband are left to mourn the loss of mother and affectionate wife. Funeral services were held at St. Stephens's church Friday morning at ten o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Father Hahn.
