Hank was born in Richmond on March 20, 1942 to Raymond A. and Marthabel C. Williamson Witter both of whom precede him in death. Hank graduated from Union County High School, Ball State University with a Bachelor’s in Education, and then earning a Masters in Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Purdue University. "Hank" Witter MARCH 20, 1942 – NOVEMBER 22, 2011 Dr. Henry “Hank” Witter, 69, of Richmond, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his residence. Hank was born in Richmond on March 20, 1942 to Raymond A. and Marthabel C. Williamson Witter both of whom precede him in death. Hank graduated from Union County High School, Ball State University with a Bachelor’s in Education, and then earning a Masters in Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Purdue University. Hank worked as an Audiologist in Liberty and Richmond as well as teaching for the University of South Carolina and in Tennessee in Audiology. Hank enjoyed keeping up with technology and in his free time could be found messing with wires. Survivors include his wife: Linda Mathews Witter whom he married February 14, 1992; two daughters: Holly Truelove of Bloomington; Christina Piromalli of Nutley, New Jersey; step-daughter: Jamie Chell of Shelbyville; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with Rev. Mick Miller of the College Corner United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, where memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Cancer Society.
