Henry Martens Wissink was born May 28, 1917, in Holland Nebraska, the son of Henry and Lydia (Essink) Wissink. He moved to Iowa with his family when he was nine years old. He married Caroline Scholten at her home in Hull on April 20, 1939. The couple farmed in the Perkins and Hull area for 46 years. They retired from farming and moved into Hull in October 1985. He became a resident of Pleasant Acres on Sept. 11, 1996. He was a member of First Reformed Church, where he was also a member of Men's Brotherhood. His favorite pastimes included fishing and bowling with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife; four children, Glenn, Harold, Marlys and Roger; a sister, Hilda; a brother Marvin; a sister-in-law, Geneva; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence.
