Description	:	Henry Thompson who came to the Superior community with his parents 77 years ago and lived here throughout the rest of his life, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 12 days. Mr. Thompson was born near Nebraska City in Otoe County, Nebraska, Jan. 14, 1872. Read More	Henry Thompson who came to the Superior community with his parents 77 years ago and lived here throughout the rest of his life, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 12 days. Mr. Thompson was born near Nebraska City in Otoe County, Nebraska, Jan. 14, 1872. He came here with his folks in a covered wagon and lived in a log house on his father's homestead, the farm now owned by Walter Hutt south of Superior. Mr. Thompson attended Valley View School south of Superior and Superior High School. On Feb, 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Young. Last Saturday was the 60th wedding anniversary of the couple. Mr. Thompson passed away a few hours after the exact time of their wedding 60 years ago. Surviving are his wife and seven children, Buford of Superior; Arthur of Benkelman, Neb.; Mrs. Lyle Fenimore (Mildred) Superior; Howard, Superior; Harold, Vancouver, Wash.; HMS Vernon Thompson, U.S. Navy, Bay City, Mich.; Kenneth, Superior. A son, Hollis, age 9 Months, preceded his father in death. He Also leaves 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George of Superior, Frank of Sterling; and Arthur of Holyoke, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Stratton of Superior. Funeral services were held at the Megrue Funeral Home Tuesday, Feb. 28, with Rev. Bryant Currier of the First Baptist Church officiating. Six grandsons were the pallbearers.
