He was the son of the late Henry and Rachel (Bittinger) Platter and was born at Bittinger. Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Victor Miner, Mrs. John Ohler, Mrs. Frank Rodaheaver, and Mrs. Carrie Lowery, all of Jennings; four sons, Austin and Fenton, Grantsville; Everett, Jennings; and Foster, of Massena, N.Y.; two brothers, Thomas of Meyersdale, and Jacob of Jennings; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilt, Westernport,...
