Description	:	Henry R. Herbek 70, of 1020 E. Fifth St. Hastings, Ne. died Saturday in the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. A rosary was held Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Brand-Wilson Mortuary Chapel. An additional rosary will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with services at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Lawrence with the Revs. Ivan Vap, Loren Pohlmeier, Adrian Herbek and Charles Gergen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Herbek was born July 3, 1915, at Lawrence. He married Loretta Pohlmeier April 22, 1942 at St. Stephen's Church. He farmed in the Lawrence area and was school custodian of the Lawrence Public Schools for 18 years. He moved to Hastings and was employed as mall supervisor at Imperial Mall. He later worked for Hastings Utilities before retiring in 1960. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, the St. Stephen Council 1906 Knights of Columbus, the Eagles Lodge and Mutual Aid Custodial Association and a 50 year honorary member of the Catholic workmen of Deweese. Surviving are his wife, Loretta of Hastings; one daughter, Mrs. Dave (Carole) Kyle of Hastings; one son, Roger of Lawrence; one sister Mrs. Norbert (Bessie) Reining of Hastings; four brothers, George of Deweese, Joe of Nelson and Albert and Godfrey both of Lawrence and six grandchildren.
