Read More	Obituary Cambridge, Iowa, Thursday, December 5, 1918 Cambridge Pioneer Dies in Nevada Henry Seward Zook was born in the state of Ohio, April 15, 1860 and passed away at the Iowa Sanitarium, at Nevada last Monday afternoon, aged 58 years, 7 months and 17 days. Mr Zook had been ill for the past three years suffering from anemia, and during his long and tedious illness he tried almost every known remedy, and as a last resource was taken to the Nevada Sanitarium a week prior to his death to undergo an operation and transfusion of blood. But all efforts were in vain and death followed. Deceased accompanied his parents to Iowa when twelve years old, and settled on a farm down in White Oak settlement, where his father died soon after. On August 13, 1882 he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Anna Burns, and to this union were born nine children, whom seven survive, besides his wife. The children are: Fred, Arizona, Mrs. Eva Goodrich, Bisbee, Arizona: Mrs. Maude Bundy, Mrs. Bessie Adams, Cambridge; Earl, of Nevada; Gladys and Florence at home. Also one brother, George and sister, Mrs. Dave Elliott, south of town, also three grand children, besides a host of friends who will miss him and mourn his demise. Mr. Zook had been a resident of Cambridge for many years, and had gained a wide acquaintance all over the county. He had been from time to time in the livery business in Cambridge, also done draying and run a transfer bus between the depots and town. On account of the "flu" only a private funeral could be held from the home, which otherwise would have been largely attended. A short service was conducted at the home Wednesday afternoon by the Rev E P Spurlock, pastor of the U.B. church. The singers were; Frank Thompson, Mrs. J.A. McKee, Misses Marie Spurlock, and Darleen Betts. Interment was in the White Oak cemetery. Provided by Doug Harsany
