Read More	Obituary The Cambridge Leader,Thursday, June 9, 1921 Margaret Ann Burns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Burrns, was born December 25, 1859 in Jasper County Iowa, and departed this life to be with God and with those who have proceeded her, at 10:20 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 1921. When about five years of age her parents moved to the White Oak community south of Cambridge, where she lived until 1891 when she moved to Cambridge, where she lived until her death. On August 13, 1882 she was united in marriage to Henry Seward Zook, who proceeded her to the better world December 2, 1918. To this union were born nine children, seven of whom are living, two having died at infancy. Fred Zook of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Maude Bundy of Adams, Minnesota, Earl Zook of Nevada, Iowa, Mrs. Bessie Adams of Cambridge, Iowa, Mrs. Eva Goodrich of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Gladyce Warren and Florence Zook of Cambridge. When the end came, all the children were present except Eva who arrived a few hours later, and Fred who was detained on account of his distant home and Earl who is detained by quarantine at his home in Nevada. The end came quietly and peacefully, at the home of her daughter Bessie, northwest of Cambridge. Soon after the organization of the United Brethren church in Cambridge, both Mr. and Mrs. Zook found peace with God through faith in Jesus Christ and united with the church, of which she was a faithful member during the remainder of her life. Especially during the past year and a half she was quite regular in her attendance at the church services and in many ways manifested an interest in eternal things. She was a faithful worker in the Ladies Aid Society when her health and home duties would permit. For several years she was a member of the Pythian Lodge. During her husbands illness she served him faithfully as only a loving wife can. She never complained although her cares were many and heavy. She has not been in good health since the death of her husband but seemed to constantly decline, until three weeks ago she was taken to her bed with a complication of diseases. She seemed to improve but was not strong enough to overcome the diseases although she had the best of care and medical attention. She had been a faithful mother raising a family of children in which she took just pride. Although the family is now scattered to various places and although no family picture was taken, if they all are faithful to God, they will meet again in that land where there is no more partings. Mrs. Zook will be missed from the home, from the church, from the Aid Society and from her place in the neighborhood, but her memory will ever remain with us. All her sorrows, cares and worries and pain are now at an end. She has wrought well and deserves the rest to which she has gone.
