Stewart Crouse 1949 - Friends and relatives throughout Lunenburg County and many other places were shocked to hear of the passing of the late Henry Stewart Crouse on Saturday, June 4, 1949, at 1:30 a.m. He was born at Lower Branch, November 6, 1896, and spent his entire life in that community. He was a son of the late Henry Crouse and Martha Silver Crouse. He was well known throughout the district where he conducted lumbering operations for a number of years. Stewart Crouse 1949 - Friends and relatives throughout Lunenburg County and many other places were shocked to hear of the passing of the late Henry Stewart Crouse on Saturday, June 4, 1949, at 1:30 a.m. He was born at Lower Branch, November 6, 1896, and spent his entire life in that community. He was a son of the late Henry Crouse and Martha Silver Crouse. He was well known throughout the district where he conducted lumbering operations for a number of years. He also operated a large farm and was an active member of the Farmers' Association at the time of his death. He was also vice-president of the Bridgewater Co-Op Society. Deceased was an active member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and his staunch support will be greatly missed. He was also a member of the committee of American Missions of the Nova Scotia Synod. The funeral , which was largely attended, was conducted on Monday, June 6, at 2:30 p.m. from St. James Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
