A native of Iron Hill, Iowa, he came to Puyallup in 1910 from Oklahoma. He was a retired railroad employee and member of the Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Lydia. three sons, Harmon of Yakima, Harley of Lake Killer, George of Tacoma, six daus; Mrs. Myrtle Crawford, Mrs Hazel Schreiner, and Mrs. Effie Griffiths of Edgewood, Mrs. Gertrude Caple, Mrs. Verna Ward, both of Fife, and Mrs. Ethel Bailey of Bremerton, 24 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren, two brothers, Harmon of Iowa, and Richard of Nebraska, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Gralund and Mrs. Martha Wendell, both of Iowa. Funeral services will held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wrigley and Clements Chapel, the Rev. Weymouth McGrew officiating, and with burial in Sumner Cemetery." Puyallup Valley Newspaper.
