Description	:	Henry Thompson, son of Harlow and Clarinda Thompson, was born at Vicksburg, Mich., June 20, 1853. After three years of failing health he departed this life, December 6, 1935, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 21 days. His parents died when he was very young, and he was adopted by an aunt and uncle of Rockford, Ill. His three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Read More	Henry Thompson, son of Harlow and Clarinda Thompson, was born at Vicksburg, Mich., June 20, 1853. After three years of failing health he departed this life, December 6, 1935, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 21 days. His parents died when he was very young, and he was adopted by an aunt and uncle of Rockford, Ill. His three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Rockford. He was married to Miss Lucy Beers, also of Rockford, March 31, 1874. She died March 11, 1918. Mr. Thompson moved to Fairmont in February, 1879, and bought a farm and lived there until 1883. Then he moved into town and engaged in the livery business and later in insurance. He traveled several years for the Fairmont Creamery Co.; the David Cole Creamery Co. and the Boulder Creamery Co., also the National Refining Co. January 14, 1920, he married Mrs. Sadie Watson of Wilsonville, Neb., at Denver, Col. They have been in the mercantile business at Wilsonville since that time. This line of work he had always been working toward, and enjoyed the most. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Willard Goodrich of Fairmont, Neb.; his step-daughter, Mrs. Ray Hansberry of Wilsonville, and four grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at Wilsonville, Sunday afternoon. Burial was at Fairmont Monday afternoon. Those from out of town attending the service at Fairmont were; Mrs. Henry Thompson, her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hansberry of Wilsonville, Rev. L. P. Hansberry and Miss Merna Conger of Ong; and Hon. Charles Sloan and son William of Geneva. A brief service was held at the cemetery in charge of Rev. Isaac Cassel of Fairmont, assisted by Rev. Mr. Hansberry of Ong. Hon. Charles Sloan of Geneva, a life long friend of the deceased also gave a short address. The Nebraska Signal December 12th, 1935 page 10 Son of Harlow and Clarinda Thompson.
