Description	:	Funeral services for Henry Van Roekel, 77, of Worthing, Minnesota, were held April 9 at the Dindot & Son Funeral Home in Lennox, South Dakota, with burial in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Mr. Van Roekel passed away April 7 in a Sioux Falls hospital following an illness of seven and one-half months. He was born January 21, 1893, at Sioux Center, the son of Edward and Maria Van Roekel. Mr. Van Roekel passed away April 7 in a Sioux Falls hospital following an illness of seven and one-half months. He was born January 21, 1893, at Sioux Center, the son of Edward and Maria Van Roekel. He grew to manhood and attended schools in Sioux Center. On June 13, 1915, he was united in marriage to Ethel Frank at Hawarden. They farmed near Hawarden, Hudson, Beresford, Lennox and Worthing. His wife preceded him in death in 1938, after which Mr. Van Roekel retired into Worthing. For several years he was with the Thomas Shows and the Ray Cammack Shows. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy and one son who died in 1967. He is survived by one daughter Berniece Miles of Worthing; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Van Roekel was the brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Marshall of Hudson.
