Description	:	Henry was the son of James Lawrence and Mary Jane Conrad Bassett. He was the husband of Emma McLean. They were married in Genoa, MN and removed to Washington State soon after they were married. They had one daughter, Bae. He was a construction engineer and designed and supervised a number of important construction projects in the Northwest, including the Peace Arch at the Blaine, WA border crossing, major sewer projects in Seattle and piers in San Francisco, CA. He was the husband of Emma McLean. They were married in Genoa, MN and removed to Washington State soon after they were married. They had one daughter, Bae. He was a construction engineer and designed and supervised a number of important construction projects in the Northwest, including the Peace Arch at the Blaine, WA border crossing, major sewer projects in Seattle and piers in San Francisco, CA. In 1900, he became Superintendant of bridge construction for the Pacific Coast Co. He and his family moved to Victoria, BC in about 1914 where they lived until his death. While there, he supervised the construction of the government pier in Victoria Harbor. Their home was located in the Royal Oak section of Victoria, where his widow continued to live until her death.
